Step 1: Before applying fireproofing paint, it is necessary to treat the surface

Construction of NBL-P022 anti-rust paint and NBL-R137 coating must meet the following standards:

  • Anti-rust paint NBL-P022: 0.1-0.2 kg/m2 dry film thickness is 30µm- 50 m

If NBL-P022 anti-rust paint has a standard rating of 0.1-0.2 kg/m2, the installer should coat it 1-2 times with a roller or sprayer.   • Drying time depends on weather conditions, temperature and air humidity. The higher the humidity, the longer the drying time will be.

  • After completing the fireproofing coating, you need to measure the paint thickness. Standard coatings will be available in thicknesses from 800 µm to 850 µm (including two anti-rust paints NBL-P022 and NBL-R137).

  • After the paint is completely dry, make sure your hands are not sticky, press your nails without leaving any dents, you proceed to apply an Alkyd or Epoxy based topcoat.

Step 4: The process of testing fireproofing paint samples to verify safety


- Choose a steel sample with dimensions: 480mm x 480mm x 5mm

- After that, paint according to the standard procedure of fireproofing paint for 120 minutes.

- Conduct painting at the construction site. Take a steel sample at the scene, then seal it and send it to the Fire Department for testing for 120 minutes of fire resistance.
