Ringlock Scaffolding: What to know about its structure and dimensions

Ringlock scaffolding has quickly become the ideal solution for modern construction sites, meeting the increasing requirements for the safety and efficiency of construction scaffolding systems. So where did Ringlock come from? How is this scaffolding system structured and yet so strong - safe and flexible? Let's find out an overview of Ringlock scaffolding in the following article.

Ringlock Scaffolding: Origin, construction and specifications

Ringlock scaffolding is an important construction tool in large and small construction projects in many countries around the world as well as in Vietnam. In addition to possessing many outstanding advantages, Ringlock is also considered a long-term cost-saving for projects. Let's find out in detail the origin of structure and specifications of this first-class safety scaffolding system in the content below.

  1. Origin of Ringlock scaffolding - the safest scaffolding system on the market

Ringlock scaffolding, also known as disc scaffolding, ring locking scaffolding, is considered the most complete and optimal anti-floor scaffolding system on the Vietnamese market today. As a modular scaffold, it is very flexible and can be installed into various structures depending on the construction requirements. In essence, Ringlock is an improved version of the wedge scaffolding system with a relatively similar structure. The difference is that Ringlock's links have a stronger and safer bolt design.

A Ringlock scaffolding system is a self-locking scaffolding system. It is also known as Layher scaffolding (because the German company LAYHER invented the basic principle of this type of scaffolding). Ringlock uses Φ48 * 3.25mm 、 Q345B high strength steel pipe as the main structure, the joints are an asterisk, size Φ122mm, accompanied by a round plate of 10mm thickness with eight holes, connected by four edge and four cross braces. The structure can also be fitted with steel planks and crossbars to form a fully functional system.

Ringlock scaffolding originated in Germany and quickly became widely adopted by European and American markets because of its safety, bearing capacity and efficiency. After entering the Vietnamese market, ring-lock scaffolding was also quickly chosen by construction owners and replaced old solutions such as frame scaffolding, H-shaped scaffolding.

  1. Ringlock scaffolding structure: Specific design features of this scaffolding type

Ringlock has a simple design with fewer components but is more efficient, making dismantling and installation easy. With their built-in safety mechanism and high load capacity, Ringlock scaffolding systems are the first choice for a variety of uses.

The production material of Ringlock truss components is mainly high-strength galvanized steel (Q345, Q235) with good strength and rigidity. Main components include Ringlock bar, horizontal ledger, cross brace, jack base. In the vertical post, there will be asterisks designed 50cm apart, welded in a horizontal position. The asterisk nodes provide up to 8 connection holes, which are then connected by 4 ridges and 4 cross braces.

Besides, it can be assembled with a steel plank, crossbar to form a fully functional Ringlock scaffolding system. Ringlock can be used for circular, curved or straight structures and it can also be used for cell and stand-alone towers

  1. Ringlock Scaffolding Dimensions - Key Components Specifications

The main components of Ringlock scaffolding have the following dimensions:

  • Ringlock struts: Available in 1m, 1.5m, 2m, 2.5m sizes with a thickness of 2mm or 2.3mm. The asterisks have a standard thickness of 8mm.

  • Bracing bar: There are lengths of 0.45m, 0.95m, 1.15m, 1.45m with a thickness of 2mm. The wedge bowl rests on a tie rod with a thickness of 10mm with the function of coupling with the asterisk.

  • Anti-consol and anti-stall midway have standard dimensions of 1.2m.

Nowadays, large construction projects always require a highly safe, sturdy and aesthetically pleasing approach to perform effective overhead work. With the construction and features presented above, it is easy to see why Ringlock scaffolding is the ideal choice for modern construction requirements.
